Website Care: WordPress maintenance, done by engineers.

You do not think about your website until it stops working, and by then it is expensive. So somebody here thinks about it instead, every month.

Updates reviewed, not auto-applied Malware removal on both plans Host anywhere From $100/month

What we do every month, and what we do when something breaks.

Most of the work happens before anything goes wrong.

Updates go through a human first

A person checks every WordPress core and plugin update before it goes live on your site. Approved updates go out on a schedule, and we watch the site afterwards.

We look for trouble every day

Daily malware scans, file integrity monitoring (an alert whenever your site’s files change unexpectedly), brute force detection (blocking repeated password-guessing attempts), and a monthly security audit. If a scan finds something, we remove it at no extra charge.

We measure it and you get the numbers

Both plans include 24/7 uptime and performance monitoring, and we track Core Web Vitals (Google’s measurements of loading speed and page stability). Once a month you get a plain-language report of what we updated, scanned and improved.

Off-site backups come with Premium Care

On Premium Care we save a full copy off-site every day, encrypted and checked to confirm it will restore. An engineer works the restore with you, including which recovery point is the right one.

On a store, the fragile parts get the attention: payment and shipping extensions, checkout, subscriptions and scheduled actions. See WooCommerce on Managed WordPress Hosting for the platform side.

What we will not tell you: that updates can never break a site. Nobody can promise that about software they did not write.

Two plans. Starter Care and Premium Care differ here.

Theme updates, off-site backups and five small changes a month come with Premium Care only. Everything else, listed on the cards, is on both.

The review comes first, because not every site is accepted as-is. A seriously outdated, compromised or unstable website usually needs cleanup before ongoing maintenance makes sense. Book the review and we will tell you which plan fits, or what has to happen before one can.

Starter Care

Security, updates and monitoring for a site that does not change much

$100/mo

billed monthly · 60 days’ notice to cancel

  • WordPress core & plugin updates: reviewed, not auto-applied
  • Daily malware & vulnerability scanning
  • Malware removal included, no extra charge
  • Monthly security audit
  • 24/7 uptime & performance monitoring
  • Monthly report
  • Priority support for urgent issues
  • Full premium plugin library access (Elementor Pro, RankMath Pro, Gravity Forms, WP Rocket)

Not on Starter Care: theme updates, and off-site encrypted backups. Both are Premium Care features.

The 30-day money-back guarantee applies to hosting (Shared Web Hosting and Managed WordPress Hosting), not to Professional Services. Website Care is backed by our satisfaction guarantee, subject to the applicable service terms.

What a maintenance plan does not cover.

A clear edge keeps the monthly price predictable, and you learn it here rather than mid-emergency. Everything below is still work we do, quoted rather than bundled.

  • New custom features, a redesign, or unlimited development (that is website development)
  • Work beyond the monthly allowance (Premium Care includes five support requests)
  • Replacing unsupported or abandoned software, which needs an alternative chosen and migrated
  • Copywriting, SEO campaigns and advertising management (see digital marketing)
  • Cleaning up a site that arrives already compromised or badly out of date: scoped first, then maintained
  • Third-party licensing, though the premium plugin library covers several licences most sites need

Development is $120/hour, with lower retainer rates for ongoing hours, and every project is scoped in writing before the first invoice.

Your site can be hosted anywhere.

Hosting and maintenance are different jobs and you can buy either without the other. Hosting keeps the platform available and scans for malware. Website Care removes the malware, reads every update before applying it, and investigates what broke. Pairing them puts one team on both halves, which is why plenty of customers add Managed WordPress Hosting or Web Hosting.

How a site comes onto maintenance.

Five steps take a site from first look to steady monthly rhythm.

  1. We review the website

What it runs, what it runs on, what condition it is in, and whether a plan is the right next step yet.

  2. You hand over access

We write down how it is all put together, so the knowledge lives with the team, not one person.

  3. We check the backups and record a baseline

We confirm what backups exist and whether they are healthy.

  4. The first pass is the big one

We work through every pending update and security finding.

  5. Monitoring goes on and the month begins

The site moves onto its monthly rhythm.

Get Emergency Server Support

Our written guarantee: If we do not restore service or deliver a clear, documented explanation of why restoration is not possible within the engagement scope, we refund the fee in full. More about server administration

What happens after you order. Work starts as soon as we have access, so have it ready: a WordPress administrator login and file access for a malware job, root or administrator access for a server job. Send it through the 24/7 client portal helpdesk, where we track the job and where the write-up lands.

Questions about maintenance plans.

Does my site actually need monthly maintenance?

Most business-critical sites benefit from it, because the risk builds up every month, watched or not. The most common way into a WordPress site is a plugin nobody updated. A personal blog you could rebuild in an afternoon is a different calculation. If your website brings in leads, bookings or orders, the answer is yes.

Are backups included?

Off-site encrypted backups with integrity verification are a Premium Care feature, not a Starter Care one. Separately, Blue Arctic hosting plans include their own daily backups with 30-day retention under our Terms of Service. Hosting takes the backups; Website Care watches that they are healthy and helps you use them. Neither replaces your own copies of anything business-critical.

Does the plan cover unlimited website changes?

No. Starter Care covers the maintenance work itself. Premium Care adds five support requests a month for small changes. We quote anything larger, such as new features, a redesign or custom development, through website development.

Am I locked into a contract?

We bill both plans monthly. Cancel from the client portal. Professional Services need 60 days’ advance written notice under our Terms of Service, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the notice period rather than immediately.

Does my site have to be hosted with Blue Arctic?

No. The plans assume a WordPress site we can properly access and manage, so the answer depends on what access your current host allows. Many clients pair Website Care with our managed Web Hosting so one team covers both halves. Tell us where the site lives at the review and we will confirm the fit.
