Cloud Servers
You have decided you need a server. What is left is how much of one. A VPS gives you a reserved share of a machine that also hosts other customers. A Virtual Dedicated Server gives you the machine. This page settles that.
Full root access on either one 24/7 helpdesk 99.99% infrastructure SLA Free basic migration
VPS vs VDS
Think of it as renting a suite in an office building versus having the building to yourself. A VPS is a reserved slice of a physical server, walled off by KVM from the other customers on it. A Virtual Dedicated Server is single-tenant, so you get the customer-usable resources of an entire machine, and restores that don’t depend on finding identical replacement hardware.
| Feature | VPS Hosting | Virtual Dedicated Server |
|---|---|---|
| Who else is on the server | Other customers share the physical machine; KVM keeps your CPU and memory walled off from theirs | Nobody. Single-tenant, with no other customers on the hardware |

What Managed Means Here
We manage the hardware, the network, the virtualization layer and Core Managed.
Core Managed means we look after the server underneath your applications. It covers OS-level security patching, Imunify360 threat protection, CloudLinux setup, cPanel/WHM or Plesk installation and updates, and control panel maintenance.
Your applications stay yours to run. If you want our engineers watching those too, that work is Server Administration, from $199/mo, and 24/7 monitoring with staffed alerts is its first line item.
Both products are billed monthly with no setup fee. To cancel, give us 7 days’ notice before your renewal date in the client portal. The 30-day money-back guarantee covers Shared Web Hosting and Managed WordPress Hosting, not VPS or Virtual Dedicated Servers.
The Shared Foundation
Blue Arctic buys the servers, racks them, and runs them. They run in Tampa, and the engineers who maintain them answer your tickets too. There is one location, in Florida. If your visitors are on another continent and milliseconds matter, tell us early.
FAQ
Both. We manage up to your server’s door: hardware, network, virtualization layer, plus Core Managed. Inside the server, root access is yours. Application-level monitoring and management is Server Administration, from $199/mo.
Yes. Within the VPS range it is a plan change. Moving to a Virtual Dedicated Server is a real move between machines, so our engineers plan it with you and schedule it around your traffic. Ask what that move costs on your account before you commit.
cPanel/WHM or Plesk, whichever you prefer. That is the browser dashboard for your sites, email and databases, so you never have to touch a command line. It is free on both products, with root SSH access from day one.
