Managed cPanel Hosting

What cPanel gives you, and what you can do with it.

You already know cPanel, and Blue Arctic Managed cPanel Hosting is built around that: no proprietary dashboard to learn before you can change a DNS record. One account holds your sites, your mailboxes, your databases and your certificates. We keep the server underneath it patched and backed up.

Racks of Blue Arctic servers in the Tampa, FL datacenter, where cPanel accounts run

cPanel is the control panel you log into, and here is what is in it.

One browser page holds your websites, email accounts, domains, DNS records, files, databases, SSL certificates and PHP settings. No support ticket every time you need a mailbox.

Managed is the other half of the sentence. We run the server, the operating system, the security software and the backups. You run your own account.

cPanel is an independent product used across the hosting industry. We did not build it and we do not own it. That is deliberate: it is the panel most web professionals already know, so your account can be moved to another cPanel host whenever you want. We would rather you stay because it works than because leaving is painful.

The cold aisle between server rows in the Tampa, FL datacenter

Day to day you use it for domains, mailboxes, MySQL databases and DNS records, the records that point your domain at your server. Databases are unlimited, up to 2 GB each. SSL is free and renews itself. Developers get a supported PHP version per site, cron jobs, SSH and Composer.

WordPress, WooCommerce, Drupal, Joomla, Laravel and plain HTML sites all run here. An application on a PHP version that no longer gets security updates needs upgrading first. Running something unusual? Ask us first.

Your website and your mailboxes live in one account.

This is the clearest practical difference between our two platforms. Every standard Web Hosting plan includes business email at your domain, at no extra cost. Mailboxes, webmail, IMAP and SMTP access from Outlook, Apple Mail or your phone, forwarders and autoresponders, all created in cPanel. No per-seat bill; mailboxes draw on your plan’s storage.

Two notes before you buy. This is our own email hosting, not Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace. If you already use either, keep it and point the domain accordingly. And hosted email is for running your business, not for bulk or unsolicited campaigns: our Acceptable Use Policy prohibits unsolicited bulk email, and no provider can guarantee that any given message reaches an inbox. Outbound sending is capped at 300 messages an hour per account under Section 7 of the Terms of Service.

Managed WordPress Hosting does not include email at all. If mailboxes matter to you, this is the platform.

cPanel Hosting runs on the same Shared Web Hosting plans.

Blue Arctic Managed cPanel Hosting uses the Shared Web Hosting plans shown on our Web Hosting page: one plan family, one price list. The plans differ only in how many websites you can run, how much storage you get, and how large a CPU and memory allocation the account is given. Plans start at $7.95/mo.

Everything on this page is on every one of them: cPanel, business email, unmetered bandwidth, malware scanning, daily backups, free SSL, free migration and the 24/7 helpdesk. Every plan carries a 99.99% uptime SLA, our uptime promise, with defined service credits. 30-day money-back guarantee for new customers on Shared Web Hosting and Managed WordPress Hosting.

No teaser pricing or inflated renewal rates. Your regular price stays the same at renewal. Not sure which fits? Tell us what you run, or read hosting for small business.

What we maintain underneath, and what stays yours.

Being specific here saves everyone a frustrating ticket.

We patch the server and watch it

Operating-system patching, Imunify360 malware scanning, a web application firewall that blocks attacks before they reach your site, and free auto-renewing SSL. None of it makes a website immune to compromise, so keeping your plugins and passwords current still matters. Technical help is available through the 24/7 helpdesk, and our target is a first response in under 25 minutes.

Defined resource limits, not dedicated hardware

Each account gets a defined CPU and memory allocation, enforced by CloudLinux, and we control how many accounts share a server. CloudLinux is the software that walls each account off from the others. That means another account’s activity is contained rather than becoming your problem. These are protected allocations enforced by the hosting platform, not dedicated physical processor cores or RAM modules. If you need genuinely dedicated resources, that is a Cloud Server.

Backups, described accurately

Daily off-site backups on every Web Hosting plan, retained for 30 days under our Terms of Service. Restores on this platform are handled by our engineers: open a ticket and tell us what you need brought back, and we will confirm the recovery point with you first. Backups are an important recovery layer, but as the terms state they do not replace your own copies of business-critical data.

The sites, mailboxes, DNS and certificates stay yours. Development, debugging, content edits and SEO are quoted separately: Website Care for the ongoing kind, Professional Services for projects.

About regulated data. Standard plans are not HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOC 2, CJIS, or CMMC compliant environments; compliance work is scoped and quoted as its own project. See compliance hosting and talk to us before you build anything that handles protected health or cardholder data.

Moving a cPanel account here is the simplest migration there is.

If you are already on a cPanel host, this is about as straightforward as switching providers gets, and it is free with every Web Hosting plan. Your part is handing us a login.

  • The whole cPanel account comes across: websites, databases, mailboxes, DNS zones and SSL certificates
  • Your site stays live at your current host until the cutover, which we schedule with you
  • Closed proprietary platforms cannot be copied file-for-file, so some sites need a rebuild

How Migration Works Talk It Through First

cPanel or Managed WordPress: two sentences and a link.

Managed cPanel Hosting is the general-purpose platform: WordPress, WooCommerce, Drupal, Joomla and PHP applications, with business email. Managed WordPress Hosting runs WordPress and WooCommerce and nothing else, on a WordPress-only control panel, at $29, $49 and $89/mo, with no email.

Neither is better. If you need mailboxes in the same account, or you run anything besides WordPress, stay here.

Questions about the cPanel platform.

Is cPanel hosting the same as your Shared Web Hosting?

Yes. Managed cPanel Hosting runs on the Shared Web Hosting plans, so the plans, prices and guarantee are identical. cPanel is the control panel those plans come with.

Do I get dedicated CPU and RAM on a shared plan?

No. Shared plans use per-account CPU and memory limits. These are protected allocations enforced by the hosting platform, not dedicated physical processor cores or RAM modules. You get a defined share that stays available to you. For genuinely dedicated resources, look at our Cloud Servers.

Should I choose cPanel Hosting or Managed WordPress Hosting?

It usually comes down to email. This platform includes business email and runs WordPress, WooCommerce, Drupal, Joomla and PHP applications. Managed WordPress Hosting runs WordPress and WooCommerce only, and it has no email. Neither is better.

When do I need to move off shared hosting to a VPS?

When the work outgrows what a shared plan is meant to give it: sustained traffic, a large catalogue, heavy database work, or root-level control. Most sites never get there. When yours does we will say so, and a Cloud Server keeps cPanel.

Bring your cPanel account somewhere it’s looked after.

Tell us what you run and where it lives today. We will tell you which plan fits and what the move involves.
